Sponsorship Opportunities for 2009 If you are interested in being a sponsor for the 2009 Waterford 10K Run-Hike-Walk, please inquire at info@waterford10K.com Your sponsorship enables us to donate all registration proceeds to the named beneficiaries of the event. All event costs are paid thru sponsorship funds. All staff that help organize the event and work the day of the event are volunteers.
	Date: TBD Nature Walk Start Time: 9:30AM Run Start Time: 10:00 AM Hike Start Time: 10:05 AM Location: The Old School, 40222 Fairfax Street Waterford, Virginia Run Fee: $35.00* Fee is non-refundable Race will be held rain or shine. Waiver required. Run is open to 400 participants. 6K Hike & 3K Guided Nature Walk Fee: $25.00 Discount for Registrations Prior to April 1, 2009 (see registration form for details) Waiver required. Proceeds to benefit: The Briggs Animal Adoption Center The Waterford Foundation, Inc. *High School Students representing their school's track teams - all entry fees are waived. Waiver is required. Waiver must be signed by legal guardian for those individuals under 18 years of age. Proof of age required for High School Students over 18.
	Join us (Date TBD) to take part in Waterford's fourth cross country event. Participants are able to choose between the 10K Race, 6K Hike or 3K Guided Nature Walk. The 2009 event will benefit the Waterford Foundation, Inc. and the Briggs Animal Adoption Center located in nearby Charles Town, West Virginia. The entire event takes place on the fields of historic Talbot Farm (a privately owned property located entirely within the Historic Landmark District -- no pre-race course running, please). The bush-hogged and paint marked route meanders across creeks, up and down hills and along the property boundaries. The run route is approximately 10K and is considered challenging by seasoned runners. The hike route is 6K of brisk walking with a guide provided to pace participants. The 3K nature walk is perfect for those that prefer a leisurely walk and will be accompanied by a representative from theLoudoun Wildlife Conservancy who will explain the various flora and fauna that can be found on Talbot Farm (this includes over 27 species of birds). Pre-race day packet pick-up and on-site registration for the race, hike and nature walk will take place (Date TBD)from 6pm until 8pm at race HQ. Race day registration and number pick-up begins at 8:30am on (Date TBD) at race HQ - The Old School located in Waterford, Virginia. The 3K Nature Walk begins at 9:30AM. The 10K race will begin at 10AM. The 6K Hike will start at 10:05AM. Runners will receive awards in the following categories: Fastest Finisher Overall - male and female; Best Individual High School Runner; Best High School Team; and Fastest Finisher "55+" - male and female. Order of finish will be observed. Keep in mind that registration for all events is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. So SIGN UP TODAY!
	T-shirts for the event are guaranteed for pre-registration only. Same day registrants will recieve T-shirts on a first come first served basis. Thank you for pre-registering!	Foundation for Charitable Funding, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The sole purpose of any FCF event is to raise money for qualifying charities under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Service tax code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permissible by law.
